kristoffae
So, as reported by others, the finish on my All Star FM4000 transitioned from a nice brushed / polished aluminum color to a disappointing dull grey color over time. I took it over to the powder coater on Friday. He looked it over and said that it looks like there may not have been much of a clear coat applied to it which led it to dull. Neverthless, for $25 he chemically removed the old finish, did some blasting, and then powder coated it back to a beautiful brushed aluminum color. He also applied about 4 coats of clear afterward so my hope is that this finish holds up longer than the stock finish. My setup is: All Star FM4000 with brushed aluminum powder coat Stock All Star Harness with the two extra straps removed Team Wendy Black Pads Champro Vented Throat Gurad (4.5 Inch) Don't even tell us you're posting in the Mask Porn thread without a picture!?!?! Had to reduce the image sizes. They should be good now.

That's a Wilson New View Titanium frame. Whoever told you or sold you that as a Nike frame took advantage of you and took you on a ride without lube. I hope you didn't like it.

Nope not a Wilson, no one took advantage of me. I paid 68.00 for it from baseball savings. You can also get the mask from homerun monkey but its more money. http://www.baseballsavings.com/customer/category/product.jsp?SUBCATEGORY_ID=41798&PROD_ID=26799148&CID=MC&CP=KNC-g5&CID=KNC-g5&LNK=ProductListingAds&SITE_ID=B0019&LNK=MC-GPS&mr:trackingCode=8DE0D028-316E-E111-9F3C-001517384908&mr:referralID=NA&mr:adType=pla

Thunderheads
What's w/ the Gerry Davis style TG on the upper right mask .......... I don't get it
JoHart10
Great question...2 reasons...saw Gerry Davis do something like it...at about the same time I took a foul ball off my wrap around wilson emblem...fraying it bad. So it looks unique and covers a flaw. Life gives you lemons...make lemonade
Samwhich169
Ok so these are the two masks I have been using this season. My Mizuno mask I just got last week, upgraded with TW tan pads and a Wilson harness. The other is my Champro Magnesium mask with black TW pads, Wilson harness, and both masks have the Mizuno throat guard. As a side note, I have used the Mizuno mask twice now in high school games since I got it and absolutely love it. It was worth all the hassle to get it sent from Japan. slo8140
Just sent 2 masks to Mask-It. My Champro black frame. It had one spot that was flaking. Trying to go Matte Black with it. Also sent an All-Star MVP4000TI cage in. The silver/gray finish that it came with was starting to oxidize. Similar to what has been reported on some of the new style All-Star frames. Getting it powder coated sliver. Also hoping he can fix a damaged weld. Will post pics when get them back....next thing I am trying to coordinate is getting my old MVP4000 shell painted Matte Black. When all the paint/powder projects are done I will have two sweet MVP4000TIs and two great standard masks as well. I will of course post pics.
