I'm watching the Astros/Angels game and Valbuena hits a ball towards right field. To me it appears that it hit the yellow line,; Davis called it a home run. Review ensues, call's overruled, double. Isn't the yellow line considered to be out of play therefore a homer? Thanks.

I had a situation yesterday that I've never had before and I've done it this way forever without an incident and wanted to get your thoughts. Batter requests time verbally while in the box. I judge the pitcher was beginning and say, "No" loud enough to ensure he knew I was not granting him time. Pitch is delivered and the batter swings and grounds out to the pitcher for the 3rd out. Batter complains that my saying no distracted him and the coach says if I'm not going to give time I just shouldn't say anything. Do you say no or something in these situations or say nothing?

This situation was brought up at my High School association rules meeting. FED rules. Outs and count don't really matter, but for argument's sake we'll say it's 1 out and a 1-1 count on the batter. The pitch comes in and the batter squares to bunt. The ball hits the bat and pops up behind home plate. High enough for F2 to have a chance at it, but he doesn't realize this till it's almost too late. He spins and dives for the ball catching it in his outstretched glove. He hits the ground and the glove comes off his hand completely, but the ball remains in the glove. What is your ruling? Out or Foul Ball? and why?

A friend of mine told me this happened to him today... Catcher catches the ball with his glove on the batter's back foot. Had the catcher not caught it it would have hit the batter, but it didn't. Coach goes off the deep end claiming that that still counts as being hit. Really???
