Shirt and color combo style guide for newbies

Thanks for the clarification. I was stationed in SoCal for 8 years, and lived their shortly after getting out of the service. The population was one of the main reasons that I left there, and drove as far away from there as I could before I ran out of gas money. Then......there it was! A sign beckoning.........Welcome to PA..........construction zone until the next state.

Shirt and color combo style guide for newbies

I actually had to think about that for a minute. Here in PA, by the time they get to "sectionals", the teams with chasers are weeded out and you have catchers at that point. However, not knowing how many different levels CA may have (as their population would probably exceed most 3rd world countries), I don't know where sectionals falls in the progression.

    Slide or attempt to avoid

Sounds similar to Little League's rule. The reason for the slide OR attempt to avoid contact, is if the fielder has the ball waiting to make the tag. If not, it could be ruled obstruction. If not in the way, why would you require a slide? F2 should have held the ball on the swipe tag. I've got safe, nothing else. Try this. If the batter hit a home run, would you still require him to slide or attempt to avoid contact? Of course not, as there is no play being made.

Stepped off but kept his hands together -

I've never heard it this way, I've always heard "separate" the hands. Ultimately, the same result. Let's say..........runner on 2nd. He (R2) is checking F6 & F4 to see if he can continue getting a lead (or not). WHILE R2 IS CHECKING, F1 disengages, but DOES NOT separate his hands. When R2 looks back up and sees hands together........ In the eyes of R2, he's still "safe" (no pun intended) to lead. Whereas, if F1 disengages and separates his hands, R2 now realizes that the likelihood of being picked off has just increased drastically. And before I get lambasted about R2 should be more aware............I'm not saying he shouldn't. I'm attempting to provide an example of advantage vs. disadvantage.

    Hello from WA

Baltimore (BWI) is the closest Major facility, about 3-3.5 hour drive time from there to WP. If you can get into Harrisburg, it cuts about an hour off of the drive.

Imitation is a form of flattery I guess...

I have the delta flex harness on my TW refurbished WV Platinum, and love it. Ordered a RayFlex for my buddy in the North Woods League. Based on his input of going the "Ray route" and adding a little vanity, I just ordered my own monogrammed RayFlex from @Razzer

    Time between games

Glad I read the remarks regarding the teams. Had an umpire tell me this weekend he hadn't umpired in 10 years. I was thinking that was pretty LONG between games, then I realized you said double-header.
