For the most part, the educated managers I've dealt with are usually pretty reasonable. However, you ocasionally get that educated manager that talks to you like you know nothing because he thinks he's smarter than you. :angry:

Great post! This is exactly how I handle this situation...when it happens on that RARE occasion.

Been there before! I've had 3 hour games that feel like 6, and 4 hour games that feel like 2. It's not the length of the game that's a factor for me...more so the quality of the game that effects how it feels.

I have two pair of GD charcoal pants that I wear...a base pair and a plate pair. I've had them for 4 years and they're the only pants I wear...through high school season and tournament season, so they get HEAVY use. I wash and dry them on regular cycle, and have even ironed them a few times. They still look the way they did the day I got them.

I've used many different brands of shirts, and Honigs is by far my favortie. It's the closet to the "old style" MLB Majestic shirts that I could find (I have an old MLB shirt given to me by Lance Barskdale, for comparison). They look great, feel great, and Honigs has always provided me with great customer service.

I wear mocks in the field, but not behind the plate...unless it's really cold and I wear cold gear under a jacket or long sleeve shirt. In that case I color coordinate it with my shirt or jacket.

I wear black about 90% of the time...but that's because I'm wearing a black, cream, or polo blue shirt most of the time. I wear navy under navy. When I'm behind the plate...I wear the first UA shirt I grab. Color doesn't really matter since it's not showing.
