  1. Hello from NJ

    Welcome
  2. Unequal Chest Protector

I am with slo8 - It seems Trout is running his mouth, but has yet to see, nor try one on. You have zero creditably until then.
  3. Unequal Chest Protector

Kyle I completely understand, and agree. Put it this way - If I had to call a varsity HS game where the kids throw 80+ tomorrow, I would wear my WVP. I am hoping to build confidence over time.

Hello, I have been in contact with Jason from ABUA regarding the CP. The majority of our discussions transcribed prior to receiving the CP. Below is a clip from one of Jason's email. "The product works, and has protected many athletes, including Tony Romo, and the entire Boston Bruins. NFL and NHL teams are lining up to get the protection. If the stuff doesn't work, there wouldn't be the demand for it within every professional and/or college organizations. We have true independent laboratory testing which backs up the fact that the protection is the best out there." For what its worth, I have used the CP twice, however both had below average pitching for 12U. I was hit by a foul ball and felt no pain. JB

If its not as rugged as you hoped, customizing with Team Wendy's is always an option.

I ordered mine on 7/4 no tracking here neither.

I Hope the Kevlar works better than it did for Michael Vick - Two broken ribs since wearing the "bullet proof vest" http://www.crossingbroad.com/2012/08/michael-vick-may-not-have-been-wearing-the-rib-protection-made-by-a-company-he-endorses.html
  8. Rapuano/Team Wendy/Riddell Power

This is from Team Wendy's facebook page... Team Wendy']Thanks for the interest. Here's an update from one of our engineers: We can retro fit some models of chest protectors. If you have an old Ridell or a Wilson chest protector we can replace the existing padding and covering with a more energy absorbing foam covered with a mesh fabric towards the body and a water repellant fabric towards the shell. We have only experimented with the leg guards and more engineering work is needed.

Good luck collecting it. Talk is cheap.
  10. Pants with the Least Fade

I have rotated 4 pairs of smittys poly over the last year and recently purchased another the pair. The old pairs are almost identical in color to the new. I highly recommend smittys. I also suggest avoiding the combos - Get plate for plate and base for base.
  11. Got an extra gear bag?

Hey I have this one just sitting in my closet barely used - http://www.ump-attire.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=GEAR-BAG&Category_Code=BSEB&Product_Count=2 If interested I will mail it to you for $20
  12. Did they allow you to return those? I suggest avoiding them at all costs. If you try it on they probably wont accept it. Honigs put out some great shirts this year - Go with them.
  13. Unequal Chest Protector

Lol - I thought the same thing - Really Jim? He looked and sounded ridiculous. The ball was a mere glance off his side, and he acted like it was a direct shot to the chest. Why did he jump out of the way if he was so confident in it?
  14. What bothers me the most is I sent them back, to have them resent back to me. I am no first time customer either. I purchased most of my SH*#s, hats, WV Plat chest protector, All-star HSM, to name a few items. Wasted $15, so now when I ship these, I will be down $30. Believe me, I know there are plenty of people out there who take advantage of companies, but in this case these shoes were never on the field, and are still brand NEW. I had them on my feet no longer than 5 mins, if that.
