Where they place you, if you get in, would be up in the air (I don't know if you get much of a choice after PBUC)...I suppose if you get to that point, I'm sure they'd listen to a request, but probably no guarantees. Make sure Evans can send honor graduates to PBUC in 2013. If he can, then you're good.

Had a chance yesterday for this exact same play, but my partner called R2 safe at 2b so I didn't get a chance to wave off the run. It was almost the exact same play.

I don't think there are any groups in MN that forbid membership in multiple organizations. I am a member of my high school group and MN's college group. All dual membership does is help me fill my calendar. That has plusses and minuses. There are times where I'd rather work a college game, but I have a HS game and I can't really turn my HS game back on short notice so I lose the college game, but a HS game fee is better than zero game fee. Take the good w/ the bad. If my availability is limited, that will limit my games. Pretty simple.

That's how I bought my Douglas leg guards. The person I bought them from didn't want to pay the restocking fee. I agree w/ others on here. Maybe the Douglas isn't for you. Try the Gold? Let us know what you decide. Also, I'd be willing to bet that somebody on here will buy your rig for what you paid.

Consider the call last week in Colorado where Helton was 3 feet off of 1B...nobody wants that on sportscenter. He initially called it for hitting the bat. The conference confirmed that it indeed hit the batter. They probably didn't show this in the clip, but two pitches earlier he thought a pitch hit his jersey and PU kept him there.

I'm pretty sure that Wolf also wears a Douglas from time to time as well. Maybe that's his plate coat CP

It does need to be broken in. The secondary market would likely pay for it if you find that it doesn't fit the way you'd like.

I'm not sure how they would make it illegal. I'm sure there would be a way to "outlaw" it w/o changing it too much.

Not unless you can stretch your leg by an inch. It's a bit different from shoes where sizing up is not a big issue. If your true size is a 17, get a 17. For what these cost. Get the right size. There's no point in getting the wrong size.

This was a discussion over the winter. Evans said MLB was close to making the rule change. Obviously it didn't happen this year. It could still be legal at our amateur levels. NCAA is in a new rule cycle next year. Wonder if they'll drive the ship in that direction.

I saw this game last night. I was hoping there would be a clip of an actual "time" play.

Anybody who thinks that the purpose for posting the videos is to disparage the MLB umpires is 100% wrong. The videos are probably the best part of this board. They allow us to discuss things from game management to positioning to judgment. It allows us a visual since these are likely the only games where every game is recorded.
