Question

I need a ruling. Bases loaded two outs. Ground ball to short. Short fields it in the hole but the runner at second doesn't go. Short runs at runner and tags him WHILE the runner is still standing on second. Umpire ruled that the runner on second is out but the runner on third counts as a run as he crossed the plate before the tag.
Does the run score or not and why

R2 was forced to leave second because the batter became a batter-runner. That's the definition (at least paraphrased) of a force play. Since the third out was a force out, no runs score.

OBR Rules /\ bold added as noumpere stated, since R2 is forced to advance and he's put out prior to reaching thrid safely, it's a force out, tag the runner or the base, it doesn't matter
