How many bases to you get when a ball goes in the dugout

Runner on first. Batter hits a ball to third he throws to first and it goes in the dugout. Our the runners awarded two bases

Runners (including the batter-runner) are awarded two bases from the time of the pitch, unless all runners have advanced at least one base at the time of the throw, in which case they get two from the time of the throw.

To make things complicated - how about when managers have been told to keep dugout gate/doors closed, but it goes into the offensive team's dugout with the gate (inappropriately) open?  Do you give the offensive team the base award that results because of their transgression (having gate open)?

More then likely the bases are already on the field so the odds of getting any bases from the dugout are slim.

Methinks the OP is from someone in the "one base on an overthrow" camp and is mystified as to why the runners got two bases.

Or, it's a confusion between time of throw and time it went out of play.

Last night I was watching a community game where F4 threw into the dugout, where BR hadn't reached first base at time of throw (ie. if throw was on target BR would have been out) and inexperienced umpire gave BR third base.
