  1. I am selling a pair of black/black low top New Balance 950 base shoes, size 11.5 2E. They were used for around a season and a half. But my schedule was severely curtailed during that time due to my work schedule and the birth of my son. Buyer would pay shipping (I usually go with the least expensive option).
  2. Very good shape. I use my Reeboks mostly and don't need these as a backup anymore. Will include shipping to continental USA with $45 pricing. Thanks.

  4. Alright fellow umpires, we know you’re out there... you love shined leather shoes, looking just like the ol’ Big Leaguers (umpires... who cares about the players?), and lament the movement toward mesh-comprised trainers that are “impossible” to keep clean and won’t take the shine you’re only too proud to perfect. Sorry, alas, I cannot dwell in your camp any longer. It’s just too damned hot here in Arizona. But, you can have my shoes! These are the first-version MU950’s, in the mid-cut, that the Major Leagues wore and featured for a couple of seasons. They do have the white mid-sole and big N on the sides, and they’re in meticulous, clean, intact condition. I only trotted these out for “big” games in Wisconsin, New York, and Iowa, and never in the rain (which kept them from being worn a lot in Wisconsin... and New York... ). When I relocated to Arizona, I wore them for one game (Perfect Game), trying to impress my new colleagues, and within minutes, my feet were frying under the inescapable sun. From then on, I put them back in the box and invested in other more ventilated shoes for the bases. Now I’m off to the Dakotas to work a season of Independent league baseball, and luggage space being a premium, I’m not likely to bring them... so it’s best if one of you guys took them off my... hands?... err... feet?... As noted, they are Size 11-D and the treads are still completely intact. I’m asking for $35 + reasonable shipping (if you are interested in buying, give me your zip code and I’ll get the shipping quotes and options). PM for photos and interest.
  5. Please forgive me if this maddens anyone, but I’ve been debating between the 460v3 and the all black Zigs for Plate (if I’m lucky to find some). However, I wanted to see if any of you out there had both the low 460v3 and the Zigs for comparison (pictures are worth a thousand worths) since I would like to see them side-by-side. Thanks and sorry again.
  6. I have a few pair of these available. Brand new, never worn. Got lucky and stumbled onto a good deal. Message me and I’ll let you know if I have your size available. $120/pair and $15 for shipping. All black and white/black available. First come first served.
  7. Hi, I recently purchased a pair of the new New Balance field shoes with the white bottom. I've only worn them on turf fields, but I'm still noticing they're getting a bit black at the point where they meet the bottom of the shoe. Anyone have any recommendations for getting them back to pearly white?
  8. I used these for just one game this year. They are in 'as new' condition. Size: 10.5 D width Price: $125, includes shipping in the original box. Regular retail price is $149.
  9. For Sale: New Balance 450; Size 10 D; well cared for over the years. I had two pair of these, and rotated them during the seasons. This pair had some stitching give way on the toe caps. The right shoe resulted in a small tear in the leather (see pics) but the stitching and tear have been repaired professionally on both shoes. Asking $50 + $10 for shipping (expected cost there is about $14). Will ship to anywhere in 48 states USA. These would make a good first plate shoe for someone, or a backup pair to wear on wet days when you don't want to mess up your new ones. Thanks for looking.

  11. The official on-field shoe for MLB umpires for the 2017 season, the MU460v3 New Balance Umpire Plate Shoes are designed for that extra look of authority with its hi-gloss finish that is easy to clean while maintaining the comfort, breathability and traction you expect in an on-field athletic shoe. The redesigned floating instep guard provides advanced features. First, it provides maximum protection where you need it most, on the inside of your feet, without the extra bulk on the outside where you don't. Second, it "releases" from the top making it easier to take on and off and to lace your shoelaces. Third, there is a mesh strap that creates space between your shoe and guard for air to flow. This mid-cut style is all-black with MLB logo on the tongue and heel and with NB logo on sole. FEATURES Dispersion Instep Guard provides more inner foot protection ABZORB® - a blend of Dupont™ Engage® and Isoprene rubber - in heel and forefoot provides superior shock absorption and cushioning throughout the game Strategically placed mesh strap on inside of metatarsal guard that promotes air flow and breathability Guard releases for easy on/off Mid-cut provides greater ankle support Hi-gloss is easy to clean / polishable Snug-fit integrated neoprene sock liner provides additional comfort between foot and hard toe Nubby outsole for enhanced traction 23.1 ounces The official plate shoes for MLB umpires For baseball or softball

  16. Hey guys, I, like many of you, wear the New Balance plate shoes, but I seem to be having a problem with them and I wanted to know if any of you have experienced something similar. Last year I bought a brand new pair of shoes from Ump-Attire and I fell in love with them. Then after only 20 or so plate games the material that keeps the plate for the top of the foot connected to the rest of the shoe ripped up so the plate was flopping all over the place. I tried a few things to fix them, but they always ended up flopping around during a game (a bad look even if no one really noticed). I gave up and bought another pair and they worked great for the rest of the season. Flash forward to now and that pair of shoes has been through quite a bit of games over the past season and a half, but again, last night the material broke and I'm left with a flopping plate. I haven't beat up the shoes in any way besides wearing them and I haven't taken a ball to the foot in I can't remember how long. All I know is that every time they break it seems I'm working solo and having to run around a bit more than usual. Any ideas or should I just buy new shoes? I haven't seen Reebok shoes around (did they stop making plate shoes?) and I have a pair of 3N2's that I don't trust above little league. Thanks in advance, Stephen

  19. The shoes are super lightweight. At just 10.1 oz, New Balance the official supplier of MLB umpires, designed it like a running shoe but with similar durability to many heavier shoes. The MB1000 is best suited for umpires in 3 and 4-man crews where less field coverage and turning is required and on turf in any sport officiated. The MB1000 turf shoe provides lightweight, durable comfort and support with New Balance’s exclusive Revlite® outsole, ABZORB® heel gasket and form fitting tongue to prevent lace stress. Synthetic uppers make it easy to clean. Worn by many major league baseball umpires and now available here. Features Abzorb® cushioning in the heel for exceptional shock absorptionSynthetic upper for easier clean upForm fitting tongueWeight:286 grams (10.1 oz/per shoe)Standard D and EE widthsThis product is available at Ump-Attire.com.
  20. I need to ask for a no-nonsense assessment of the New Balance 950 Turf umpire shoes, please. Yes, the ones they use in the Major Leagues. My UnderArmour turf-trainers have called one game too many, and never did have the greatest arch support. They were durable and presentable, but not too cushioned either. I have always worn Nikes, but when I needed a shoe for CDP two years ago, I chose the UnderArmours because they could be easily cleaned and polished. Most Nikes have mesh, or fabric, or nubuck, or Flyknit on their uppers, which just get destroyed by the red brick dust CDP uses. However, this year, I am considering the Nike Lunar MVP Pregame 2, which has synthetic leather, and looks like can be endlessly washed, as well as having the Nike fit I am accustomed to. After checking out the landscape, though, I could go "all out" and get the official MLB umpires' shoe, the New Balance 950. It is very difficult to find in stock in my size (11 D), but I can still track it down, and I need to know (or at least have enough encouragement) before I pull the trigger. Is it a really good shoe? How's the arch support? How's the cushioning? How's the fit? How's the clean-ability? How's the durability? Please give me whatever opinions and sentiments and feedback you have about them, straight up. I've worked in retail far too long to have an item pitched to me, but I would value your feedback and impressions and experience with it. Thanks, gang!
  21. Patent Leather Toe and heel guards...plus patent tongue! Pro Model features New Balance's patented ABZORB heel cushioning and forefoot to make the footbed more comfortable. Great multipurpose cleated sole. Perfect for dirt and grass. Available in 2E width.
  22. I am looking to sell or trade my (brand new never worn) size large black/red USSSA Softball umprie shirt. Also, my used size 13 New Balance 995 low and mid base shoes. I am willing to trade or sell all of these together or individually. As for trading, I'm open to about any type of gear. Asking USSSA Shirt $15, New Balance shoes $30 each. You pay shipping which is about $5 bucks for the shirt and $10-12 for the shoes. I will be shipping USPS ground. If you have any questions give me a call 954 558 1397 dcallins@hotmail.com Note: The USSSA Large fits a bit small. More like a Medium.
  23. I've had NB 450 (i guess) for the last 3 or 4 years...probably 350+ games...I love them but starting last season and then really escalating this season, the cushion around the top of the shoe (where I would grab and tug it onto my foot) became exposed and deteriorated, which caused the lining to come away and slip down..i took them to a shoemaker who replaced the cushion, but it's not ideal and clearly time for a new pair. Has anyone else had this problem (it seems like a little boot strap on the bag would solve it)? Does 350 games sound like a normal lifespan? And, does anyone endorse anything other than the new NB's? Thanks
  24. has anyone made a comparison of the the Reebok Zigs, 3n2, New balance plate and base shoes? I am in the market for a new pair of each and was curious if anyone knows of any pros and cons to any of them? I know for instance the Zigs require a size larger if you have wide feet (which i may be out of luck in since i wear a 14...) Any thoughts? Sorry if i missed this in my searching.
