  1. yes, time play. if there was also a runner on first this would be a force play and no runs could score
  2. think the only case that could me made is that the batter's hands were not in a set position when stroman started his delivery. There was also https://streamable.com/uxcnd later in the game, which looks very bad.

  4. just missed a catch/no catch call yesterday as well. https://streamable.com/hizfz
  5. The highest levels I've seen it is Babe Ruth (13-15 year olds). I actually do remember it happening once before in a MLB game. I think it was a shift situation with a LHB but they didn't want the runner on third drifting too far away. So F5 actually held him on with a RHP. Very weird to see.
  6. IIRC the B/R can overrun first on a walk in OBR, but not in FED
  7. Is the video linked from your youtube channel? It's an awesome channel, love to see interesting baseball plays
  8. was this just a missed call? Or is there a different interp in NCAA than in OBR?

    Forced runner

The runner on first base is forced to go to second, and he has no legal right to remain on first base. This can change, however, if the first base bag or batter/runner is tagged and the force is removed. If the runner on first is tagged (even if he's still on first base), THEN the bag is touched, it's a double play.

    Exhausted

A team I played in HS had a system where the *pitcher* would wear a covered up wristband and step off the mound after every pitcher and listen to the coach yell out a series of 3 numbers for the sign. So dumb, completely ruins any flow of the game
  13. yeah, usually I see it where the "ball and glove" are about waist level, and you bring your right arm up from there out of the "glove"
  14. hmm, working for me in google chrome
  15. The link starts at :22 for me, maybe it doesn't work on mobile?
  16. oh, duh! didn't even notice that the ball ever was dropped. thanks

  18. example on a OBR situation where the ball is still alive. http://clips.milb.com/milb/2016/08/12/44-458278-2016-08-11/web_cut/milb_1040108283_1000K.mp4

    Stealing a base

This would probably be either a E1 or E2, unless the runner is already breaking for the next base as the catcher is starting to throw it back, a delayed steal
  20. here is an example of a similar play happening just yesterday - although it does appear F2 stepped on home plate but maybe Gibson was thinking he didn't have possession yet https://mediadownloads.mlb.com/mlbam/mp4/2017/04/02/1254543383/1491177169092/asset_2500K.mp4
  21. Don't think so. On Pollock's HR to LCF, U3 goes out and U2 came in to the infield
  22. seems like a pretty good angle, only issue could possibly getting hit by the throw
