In Flanders Fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
- John McCrae, 1915 (a Canadian medical officer in WW1)

Just got back from the Veterans Day Parade in Leavenworth, Kansas. Huge turnnout in 27 degree weather with wind chill factor down to 13. What a stirring and honorable way to spend a Veterans Day morning.

Thanks to all the other Veterans out there.

All gave some......Some gave all.

To ALL of you currently serving, served in the past, and those who gave their lives,, I sincerely thank you. You protect and keep our GOD given freedom and liberty in your hands and fight for it no matter where it is, all to allow us the privilege of living our lives uninterrupted and free. You serve with honor and humility, and yet you don't ask for anything. All of us have to opportunity to wear the greatest uniform out there, but only  a small handful chooses to.Thank you for making that choice. On this day I wish to extend to ALL of you a much overdue  THANK YOU for all that you have done for all of us!
