Could anything have been done to prevent this? Notice where CB starts his stance – do you work further in the slot than this? Was his head height where it should be?

Everything looks fine to me. it just had his name on it. In '07 I worked the Colt World Series. In one game I had the same thing happen to me except I got it right below my CP. Next batter a foul ball got me in the same spot! I all most spoke in tongues! :eek:

CB is where he is supposed to be. It was a fluke he got hit, it happens. If your going to work the plate in baseball, you're going to get hit.

I had this happen earlier this year, ball hits batter, ball rebounds and hits me in the side of the neck. Nothing you can do.

I think his slot setup is fine, He is more exposed there than normal because the catcher is setup outside, but thats just the bounces.
