Greetings all:
First year venturing into umpiring. I've reffed soccer for 10 years, and basketball for 5.
Grew up playing baseball, but know I've got a lot to learn on the umpiring side. We do mostly 2 man mechanics out here in the sticks, so I've got my running shoes laced up and ready to go.
Looking forward to learning a lot from both my on-field mentors and the members here! Hope everyone has a great season!!
Don

Welcome Don. I too did soccer. It was great, but I love umpiring!

You will enjoy baseball but beware, the pace is completely different from basketball or soccer. I too reffed soccer for about 15 yrs. I prefer baseball but I did like the pace of soccer.

Howdy Don, I recognize the name from the basketball forum on O.com. Nice to see you here.
